OUR PROJECTS ARE DESIGNED THROUGH COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP AND SUPPORT WITH-AND-FOR CHILDREN. WE PLACED CHILDREN AT THE CENTER OF OUR WORK TO ENSURE OUR PROGRAMS ARE RELEVANT, SCALABLE AND SUSTAINABLE WHERE THE BENEFITS ARE REACHING CHILDREN IN NEED. WE HAVE VALUE FOR MONEY AND ENSURES THE HIGHEST FORM OF ACCOUNTABILITY.

OUR MODEL OF CHANGE - LIBRARY AND RESOURCE CENTER
The model of the centre is to combine early childhood with a child-centred development that put emphasis on listening, reading, practicing and testing. At the centre, we give every child a voice and opportunity to interact, ask questions and feel proud to try and fail.
Our model of tutorship is focus on mentoring the child to achieving his/her full potential. We inspire children to learn something that isn’t found in school. Our teaching curriculum looks at Coding for Kids, Understanding the Computer, Developing Self-Confidence, Learning to Read, Story Telling and the Power of Communication.
ENGAGING COMMUNITIES TO ACTIVELY PREVENT AND RESPOND TO GENDER-BASED VIOLENCE IN SIERRA LEONE
The US Embassy, Freetown, in collaboration with The Children's Assurance Program Sierra Leone (CAP-SL) completed a partnership project with the Young African Leaders Initiative, Regional Leadership Centre (YALI-RLC) Sierra Leone Chapter. This project centered on teaching community residents about the effects of Gender Based Violence, community education and prevention mechanisms in the Jui, Kossoh Town, Hastings and Grafton communities, Western Area Rural District, Freetown. The people improved the knowledge of up to 200 people on prevention mechanism.
EVERY CHILD A DREAM PROJECT
In 2019, we partnered with Hope Children's Foundation Sierra Leone to change the lives of 50 underprivileged children at our library and resource centre, Jui. The project focused on enabling children explore their talents and abilities through participating in reading, practical arts and learning new skills. At the end of their talent exhibitions, pupils from three primary schools won worthy prizes of school learning materials, bag packs and certificates.

Baimba Osman Sheriff
FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE DIRECTORBaimba Osman Sheriff is a professional teacher and social worker. Passionate about basic education for children, child protection, women's development and rural transformation. He is currently serving as advocate for the African Union International Centre for Girls' and Women's Education in Africa (AU/CIEFFA).
Andrew Dauda
CO - FOUNDER & HEAD OF MONITORING AND EVALUATIONAndrew Dauda is a social worker, educationist, soft skills development consultant, monitoring and evaluation specialist and child protection activist. He holds a degree in Social Work and alumni member for many professional groups such as YALI-RLC, US State Alumni Network, and African Presidential Leadership Program Alumni.
Dolly Delali Dotse
COMMUNICATION DIRECTORAs the Communication’s Director, Dolly DelaliDotse is responsible for managing the organization’s internal and external communication strategies. Dolly Joined the Children’s Assurance Program in 2017 with five years of experience in community development.
Ms. Kandeh
CO- FOUNDER &GENDER DIRECTORMs. Kandeh is a graduate of the University of Sierra Leone’s social work program and has worked for CAP-SL as a Training Lead for the funded project by US Embassy Freetown. She currently serves as the Gender Director for CAP-SL. As Gender Director, she ensures proper day to day implementation of projects and work closely with the local partners and other stakeholders.
Dr. Jeffrey J. Bulanda
TECHNICAL ADVISORDr. Bulanda currently works at Amazon, as the Worldwide Manager for Education Programs with the Career Choice Program. Prior to coming to Amazon, Dr. Bulanda had 15 years of social work experience, as a school social worker, director of a youth empowerment program, therapist, and professor. The highlight of his career, to date, was serving as a Fulbright Scholar at Fourah Bay College in Sierra Leone during the 2013-2014 academic year.
Ibrahim Sorie Jalloh
PROGRAM DIRECTORIbrahim Sorie Jalloh is an experienced Co-Founder with a demonstrated history of working in the civic & social organization industry. He is skilled in Nonprofit Organizations, Research, Capacity Building, Program Development, and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). He is also passionate about youth issues, an alumnus of Young African Leaders Initiative Regional Leadership Center (YALI RLC), West Africa, Accra.

Children’s Assurance Program on Friday 29th November 2019 was awarded by Good Deeds Day Sierra Leone as BEST HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION for the year 2019. We thank God for this achievement and appreciate the organizers of the award for recognising our efforts. BUILD FOUR (4) LIBRARIES FOR CHILDREN IN SIERRA LEONE PROJECT
Children's Assurance Program Sierra Leone (CAP-SL)'s project - Build Four Libraries for Children in Sierra Leone is gaining more public support.We are building these centers to see a Sierra Leone where no child is denied access to 21st century education because of poverty, lack of income or opportunity. The project is in the starting stage and we are looking forward to accelerating its impact by expanding our library facilities to other communities in the Western Rural District, Freetown through seeking donations from individuals, group of people and partners.
